【「追劇」英文怎麼講？】
最近好友問，「追劇」，就是會瘋狂熬夜，為了要看完一部影集，英文怎麼講？
簡單的說，binge-watch /ˈbɪnʤ ˈwɑʧ/ 是個還不錯的選擇：
I binge-watched a whole season of “Friends”.
(我追了《六人行》一整季。)

我們再多討論一下這個字 binge /ˈbɪnʤ/.
查中英字典，就是「狂飲」、「狂食」、「狂吸毒」、「狂歡」、「暴飲暴食」的意思。如：
He went on a drinking binge, and couldn’t come to work on Monday.
(他瘋狂地喝酒，禮拜一沒辦法上班。)
注意：1: “drinking binge” 通常表示喝酒；2: 搭配 binge 的動詞通常是 “go on”.
She was so lonely during the winter vacation. She went on an eating binge and gained three kilos.
(寒假的時候她超孤單。她暴飲暴食，然後胖了三公斤。)
上面是名詞，動詞也可以：
My classmate binged on chocolate, and now she regrets it.
(我的同學狂食巧克力，現在很後悔了。)
注意：動詞 binge 後面通常用介系詞 on.

Binge 指食物、酒、毒品時，就是相當嚴重、會害到自己的問題。
不過，binge 比較廣泛的意思就是：失控了，然後過度地做你愛做的事。這不一定是很嚴重的事，特別是流行文化：
I went on a comic-book binge over the weekend.
(周末的時候，我「狂讀」了好多漫畫書。)
We went on an incredible card-playing binge during New Year.
(過年時，我們瘋狂地打牌。)
I binge-watched the whole series of a Korean soap opera!
(我瘋狂看了一系列的韓劇！）
After final exams, I’m going to go on a YouTube binge!
(期末考考完了，我要看YouTube 看個過癮！)
